How to edit broadcast content?

Understanding Broadcast States

1. Draft
   

   • Not published and not visible to parents.
     
     

2. Published
   

   • Live and visible to parents immediately.
     
     

3. Scheduled
   

   • Set to publish at a future date.
     
     

Impact of Editing Each State

Editing DRAFT Broadcasts

1. Changes are reflected in the Content tab and broadcast listing.
   
   

2. Status remains Draft.
   

3. ⚠️ No notification is sent to parents.

Editing PUBLISHED Broadcasts

1. Changes appear immediately in the parent app.
   
   

2. ⚠️ No notification is sent to parents about updates.
   
   

3. Status remains Published.

4. Parents must check the broadcast to see the changes.

Editing SCHEDULED Broadcasts

1. Scheduled time stays the same.
   
   

2. ⚠️ No notification is sent.
   
   

3. Status remains Scheduled.

4. Changes appear when the broadcast is published.

How to Edit a Broadcast

1. Locate the broadcast in the Broadcasts module.
   
   

2. Open the broadcast.
   
   

3. Click the Broadcast Actions button.
   
   

4. Select Edit Content.
   
   

5. Make necessary changes.

6. Click Save Changes. ? Check changes carefully before saving.

Activity Logging

• All edits are recorded in the SMS Activity Log.
  
  

• An audit trail is maintained for reference.
  
  

Important Warnings

• ⚠️ Editing a Published broadcast is immediate and cannot be undone.
  
  

• ⚠️ Parents will not be notified of the update unless you inform them.
  

• ? Double-check all changes before saving.
